The director of a specialized school for Olympic reserve athletes (SDYUSHOR) has been detained on suspicion of embezzlement of entrusted property, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.

According to the information provided, a complaint was filed at the Interior Department of the Sverdlovsk district of Bishkek by the director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the city hall. The complaint highlighted discrepancies in the amount of sports equipment during a handover at one of the sports schools, resulting in a loss of over 1 million soms to the state budget.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyz Republic for misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property.

During the investigation, it was discovered that S.K., born in 1985, had presented a diploma from the Institute of Management and Business at the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn upon appointment as the director of SDYUSHOR. However, official records do not show any diploma issued in the name of S.K. nor is it listed among the archival documents or orders related to the educational institution.

Additionally, a separate criminal case has been opened under Article 379 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyz Republic for forgery of documents.
