in Society / Kyrgyzstan - by

In a recent announcement by the State National Russian Drama Theater named after Chingiz Aitmatov, a new initiative called "Baby Theater" is set to cater to the youngest spectators aged one to four years old. The "Baby Theater" is a special stage where performances tailored specifically for this age group will take place. Unlike traditional theater settings, these shows will be held in a cozy room with soft carpets and cushions on the floor. The interactive and playful nature of the performances will allow children to not only watch the fairy tale but also actively participate in it.

The premiere of the play "Dream," a pillow-based fairy tale, will take place on March 29, 30, and 31. The production is led by director and artist duo Christina Ilyinova and Tatiana Astankova from Moscow. The young audience will embark on a forest adventure, witnessing the awakening of nature, understanding the concept of day and night, experiencing the essence of the changing seasons, and interacting with forest creatures. They will join the actors in gathering mushrooms for the hedgehog, nuts for the squirrel, and help a little caterpillar fulfill its dream.

The performances are designed to be safe for children, free from any sharp or frightening elements. Parents are welcome to accompany their children but will be required to remove their shoes. They can either crawl alongside their kids or sit in the audience seats, capturing the moments on their phones. It is emphasized that children often mirror their parents' reactions. The showtimes are at 11:00 and 15:00, with a duration of 35-40 minutes, without an intermission. The genre is a fairy tale, and tickets are priced at 500 soms per person, regardless of age, with a maximum of 30 audience members per show.
