City of Bishkek Addresses Pothole Issue as Spring Arrives

in Society / Kyrgyzstan - by

With the arrival of spring, residents of the capital are increasingly complaining about potholes on the city's roads. The press service of the Bishkek City Hall reported this issue.

According to the city officials, the appearance of potholes on the roads is a natural process related to changing weather conditions and the intensity of traffic. They tend to form on roads with a long period of use.

Currently, Bishkekasphaltservice is monitoring the city streets and carrying out temporary repair work on problematic sections.

Due to the cold weather persisting in the capital, it is not possible to start laying hot asphalt on the potholes. The situation is being managed using temporary materials for the convenience of citizens to prevent emergencies. When stable weather conditions set in, the company's employees will start repairing the potholes on the city streets, as stated by the City Hall.

Additionally, there are plans to completely asphalt some streets.

The City Hall of Bishkek apologizes for the inconvenience caused and asks residents for their understanding.
