The press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration reported a 40.2% decrease in the number of children without birth certificates. According to their data, at the beginning of the year, 266 children were registered in the department's territorial units without birth certificates, compared to 445 at the beginning of 2023.
The Ministry explained the reasons why some children in the republic do not have birth certificates, citing factors such as the lack of identity documents for parents, home births, lack of permanent parental registration, absence of parental responsibility, and children being left without parental care.
In cases where children do not have birth certificates, the territorial units of the Ministry of Labor assist in obtaining a medical birth certificate for the child, filing a lawsuit in court, and participating in the judicial process to establish the child's birth.
