President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, March 24, as reported by the state press service. Rahmon strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack at the "Crocus City Hall" complex in the Moscow region.
He emphasized that "terrorists have no nationality, homeland, or religion." Rahmon extended sincere condolences and support to the families of the victims of the horrific tragedy. In a message, it was noted that during this time of national mourning in the Russian Federation, Rahmon highlighted the solidarity of all Tajikistan citizens with the fraternal Russian people.
The presidents of the two countries reaffirmed their intention to continue close cooperation in combating terrorism, extremism, and manifestations of religious radicalism, which pose a serious security threat. The importance of further enhancing joint efforts to maintain contacts and coordination between relevant authorities and services for an effective response and collective fight against these threats was underscored by the president's press service.
According to the latest information, 137 people, including three children, lost their lives in the terrorist attack at "Crocus City Hall," while 180 were injured.
