Tajikistan and Turkmenistan have signed five documents of cooperation during the official visit of the Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as reported by the press service of the Tajik head of state.
The signed agreements include:
1. A cooperation program between the foreign ministries of the two countries for the years 2024-2025.
2. An agreement on cooperation between the Training and Retraining Center of Diplomatic Service Personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan.
3. An agreement on establishing sister city relations between the executive body of state power of the city of Khujand in the Sughd region and the administration of the city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan.
4. An agreement on cooperation between the Committee on Architecture and Construction under the government of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan.
5. A memorandum between the Institute of Geology, Seismic Resistant Construction, and Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
