President of Tajikistan to Visit Azerbaijan in May

President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, is planning a state visit to Azerbaijan in the third decade of May. The Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, in Minsk on April 12. They discussed the preparations for President Rahmon's visit to Azerbaijan in May 2024. Additionally, they talked about the Tajik Culture Days in Azerbaijan, Tajik Film Days, and the Tajik-Azerbaijani Business Forum scheduled for the second decade of May.

Last year, President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, visited Dushanbe, resulting in the signing of 14 cooperation agreements. Aliyev also attended a meeting of Central Asian heads of state in Dushanbe as an honorary guest. President Rahmon had previously visited Baku on an official visit in August 2018.
