The Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, has once again urged for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine, as reported by the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During an extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in Jeddah on March 5th, the Minister called on the international community to take effective measures to achieve a lasting peace in the region through dialogue.

In December 2023, Tajikistan expressed its support for a resolution calling for an "immediate, sustained, and durable humanitarian ceasefire" in the Gaza sector. The republic also supported a similar resolution in October 2023.

President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, condemned the "killing of thousands of civilians" and the "destruction of vital infrastructure" in Gaza during a joint summit of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Riyadh on November 11, 2023.

He also voiced support for the establishment of a Palestinian State within the 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem.
