Today, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenev arrived in Tajikistan on an official visit.

According to NIAT "Khovar", he was welcomed at the Dushanbe airport by Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and other officials.

The meeting between the Prime Ministers of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan is scheduled for today.

It is expected that during Olzhas Bektenev's visit, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, will also meet with him.

These meetings are aimed at discussing issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, including industry, energy, trade, and others.

No other details of Bektenev's visit have been reported.

It is worth noting that Olzhas Bektenev was appointed as the new Prime Minister of Kazakhstan in February of this year, after the previous government led by Alihan Smailov, who was appointed to the prime minister's post after the January unrest, resigned.

Commenting on the resignation of the government at that time, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, stated that he felt a lack of initiative and courage in the actions of the previous government, although he acknowledged that it "ensured stability in all areas."
