President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, discussed the prospects of cooperation during his official visit to Dushanbe, as reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan. Emomali Rahmon emphasized the rapid expansion of the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in various areas and expressed interest in further strengthening it.
- Olzhas Bektenov highly praised the role of Tajikistan in establishing and developing relations between the two countries, calling it a reliable strategic partner and ally.
- During the meeting, the development of relations in priority areas such as energy, agriculture, transport, finance, banking, investments, education, culture, and tourism was discussed.
The parties expressed the need to attract capital to the industry, agriculture, chemical industry, engineering, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. The importance of strengthening cooperation in agriculture and increasing the export of Tajikistan's products to Kazakhstan, as well as in the field of water resources and transportation communications, was also emphasized. The parties also discussed cooperation within various international organizations, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, CSTO, the Cooperation Council and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, the Aral Sea Rescue Fund, as well as consultative meetings of the heads of state of Central Asia.
