Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sirodjidin Mukhriddin, during a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, on April 30, discussed the difficult situation faced by Tajik citizens in Russia as a result of the harsh measures taken by the Russian authorities, as reported by the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Mukhriddin emphasized that such negative treatment of Tajik citizens and the widespread violation of their rights and freedoms do not align with the principles of bilateral relations.
In the context of Lavrov's statement about the non-direction of measures against a specific nation or religion, Sirodjidin Mukhriddin pointed out that this thesis is incompatible with the actual situation, highlighting that the negative actions are applied exclusively to Tajik citizens, as emphasized by the foreign policy department.
The interlocutors were united in the opinion on the necessity of maintaining the commitment of both sides to the principles of strategic partnership and alliance.
