President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdymukhamedov, has signed a decree on the dismissal of conscripted servicemen and the upcoming military draft, as reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal."
The decree instructs to dismiss conscripted servicemen who have completed their service terms as stipulated in the Turkmenistan Law on Military Duty and Military Service from the Armed Forces and other military entities in April-June 2024.
Furthermore, the decree mandates the conscription of male Turkmen citizens aged 18 to 27 who are not eligible for exemption or deferment from military service. The conscription will take place in April-June 2024.
The President's directive also includes instructions to conduct the dismissal of servicemen in a ceremonial manner and to commend outstanding service members for their dedication.
