Uzbekistan President Holds Meeting on Public Safety Measures

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting on March 29 with leaders of law enforcement agencies to discuss public safety. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Guard presented reports on ensuring public order at key trade and service facilities. Emphasizing the need for enhanced cooperation between law enforcement and business entities, President Mirziyoyev highlighted the importance of respecting the rights of entrepreneurs and citizens during security measures. He instructed the preparation of a legal act to facilitate collaboration between law enforcement, civil society, and businesses in ensuring public safety.

The directive aims to strengthen efforts in maintaining public order and preventing potential terrorist threats and emergencies in crowded areas. National Guard, Tashkent City Police, and other law enforcement agencies have intensified security measures in shopping centers, parks, markets, and other public spaces in the capital.
