On the orders of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a government commission has been established to oversee the repatriation of the bodies of eight Uzbek citizens who died in a tragic accident in Kazakhstan. The commission will also be responsible for organizing their funerals. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
A military aircraft from the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan has been allocated for the transportation of the deceased.
"The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan is in close contact with its Kazakh counterparts and is cooperating in investigating the causes of the incident," the statement said.
The accident, in which Uzbek citizens lost their lives, occurred on April 3 on the Samara-Shymkent highway near the village of Marzhanbulak in the Aktobe region. According to preliminary information, a Toyota minivan carrying Uzbek citizens collided with a truck that had crossed into the oncoming lane due to a malfunction.
