Ramadan Holiday in Uzbekistan Falls on April 10th, President Expected to Declare Day Off

The Muslim Administration of Uzbekistan has announced that Ramadan holiday, known as Ramazan khayit, will fall on Wednesday, April 10th this year. It is anticipated that the President of Uzbekistan will declare this day a public holiday.

According to the presidential decree "On the Establishment of Additional Non-Working Days during the Celebration of Official Dates and the Transfer of Days Off in 2024," an additional day off has been set for the celebration of Ramazan khayit, regardless of the type of work week, on Thursday, April 11th.

Furthermore, for employees with a five-day work week, the day off originally scheduled for Saturday, April 13th, has been moved to Friday, April 12th. Friday, April 12th, will be an additional day off for employees with a six-day work week.
