Empowering Women and Girls Through Education and Profession: Uzbekistan President's Speech

On March 7th in Tashkent, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of women's education and professional development in promoting family happiness, children's growth, and overall societal prosperity. Despite economic challenges, the President highlighted the country's efforts to support social sectors and harness the potential of women and girls.

Addressing the audience, President Mirziyoyev stressed the role of education in shaping a brighter future for Uzbekistan. He underscored the need to raise children as physically strong and spiritually mature individuals, instilling national pride, love for the country, and respect for universal values. The President emphasized the crucial task of protecting youth from global threats such as radicalism, extremism, terrorism, human trafficking, and substance abuse.

Calling upon women to prioritize child-rearing and education, President Mirziyoyev urged them to engage more actively in schools and educational institutions. He emphasized the collective responsibility of society in nurturing educated, intellectually developed, and patriotic individuals. The President highlighted the importance of spiritual and educational initiatives starting from the family and local communities.

Quoting a hadith, President Mirziyoyev reiterated the significance of excellent upbringing as the best legacy. He envisioned a transformed society where well-educated children contribute positively, emphasizing women's pivotal role in achieving this goal. The establishment of a special commission led by the Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbaeva and the "Girls' Academy" platform were also mentioned, aiming to provide 100,000 girls with essential knowledge in finance, law, psychology, and reproductive health.
