The press service of the capital's police department reported that a well-organized criminal group led by a man named Y., previously convicted, has been operating in the city for a long time. He posed as a police officer, using a fake badge and unregistered weapons.
Under the guise of a preventive raid named "Prison-Butterfly," the group systematically extorted money from women offering intimate services. The money was taken in cash, sometimes through bank transfers or other financial transactions.
A criminal case has been initiated under the charge of extortion. During the operation, Y., born in 1995, A., born in 2002, I., born in 2003, and E., born in 1995, were apprehended and placed in detention.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
