Chief of the Sverdlovsk Military Commissariat Department was detained while receiving a bribe, as reported by the General Prosecutor's Office. According to the information, a citizen O.M. filed a statement with the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Bishkek Garrison, stating that Major R.A., the head of the 4th department of the Sverdlovsk district military commissariat, fraudulently appropriated 50,000 soms allegedly for the monthly collection of the mobilization reserve. He then extorted an additional 12,200 soms.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 343 "Extortion of a Bribe" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Military Prosecutor's Office of the Bishkek Garrison detained an employee of the aforementioned military commissariat and placed him in custody upon receiving part of the demanded money. An investigation is ongoing.
It is worth noting that previously, employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) together with the Military Prosecutor's Office detained an officer from one of the country's military commissariats while receiving a bribe.
