An inspector from the juvenile affairs department in the At-Bashy district of the Naryn region has been detained for abuse of power, as reported by the press center of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to the GKNB, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. It was discovered that the district officer D.A.T. had pressured a resident of Bishkek, J.T., to pay him 100,000 soms in exchange for halting a criminal case related to hooliganism. However, the officer failed to fulfill his promise, leading to the case against J.T. being referred to court.
On March 19, D.A.T. was arrested and placed in a pre-trial detention center. The GKNB is conducting further investigative activities to determine D.A.T.'s involvement in other unlawful activities.
