Iskender Matraimov shared a post by Mirlanbek Ismailov on his own page. Earlier, it was reported that today, Tilek, the brother of Raimbek Matraimov, was extradited from Baku along with Raimbek Matraimov. Four brothers, including Iskender Matraimov, have been brought to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
It is worth noting that on April 28, early elections for a deputy in the Osh, Batken, and Kara-Suu single-mandate electoral districts will take place. These positions became vacant after the Central Election Commission prematurely terminated the powers of Iskender Matraimov and other deputies.
Raimbek Matraimov, the former deputy head of customs, was in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, as reported earlier by the GKNB press center. The GKNB sent a letter to the Azerbaijani side about his detention and further extradition to Kyrgyzstan.
It was revealed that Raimbek Matraimov is connected to the members of a transnational criminal group from Azerbaijan detained in Kyrgyzstan, who were preparing an assassination attempt on the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic, as noted by the GKNB. Raimbek Matraimov held the position of deputy head of the State Customs Service from 2015 to 2017. After a change of power in October 2020, he was accused of corruption at the customs. The total damage caused by Raimbek Matraimov, in just one criminal case, amounted to 2 billion soms. He paid them off over two months, mostly in the form of property - a building and apartments. The former customs officer admitted his guilt. The Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek sentenced him to a fine of 260,000 soms.
On January 26, 2024, the GKNB declared Raimbek Matraimov wanted. It was reported that in the autumn, Raimbek Matraimov could have left Kyrgyzstan for Turkey and then to Dubai.
