In a recent development, the press center of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported that an official in At-Bashy won almost 160 tenders through a dummy company. The investigation uncovered instances of abuse of official position by government and municipal officials during state procurement processes.
According to the GKNB, the responsible secretary of the At-Bashy aiyl okmotu in the Naryn region, T.A., illegally participated and won 152 tenders through the affiliated LLC "Mukhali Invest" from 2020 to 2022, totaling around 14 million soms. In an attempt to halt investigations, she repeatedly offered money to a GKNB employee, despite being warned about criminal liability. She was apprehended while transferring 90,000 soms and $500.
Operational and investigative measures are ongoing to identify similar corrupt practices in state procurement processes.
