The press center of the State Committee for National Security has reported the detention of Kamchi Kolbaev, the chairman of the village council in Ananievsky village of Issyk-Kul region. Kolbaev is alleged to have unlawfully used 42 hectares of agricultural land for an extended period without paying taxes or possessing proper documentation, reportedly with the support of criminal groups.
Kolbaev was arrested on March 28 on suspicion of organizing and leading the illegal seizure of land. Subsequently, on March 29, the Karakol City Court ordered his pre-trial detention for two months. The investigation is ongoing as authorities intensify efforts to combat illegal activities in the region.
