In the Chuy region, the former chairman of the gardening association "Stroitel" in the village of Chon-Zhar, T.Dzh., born in 1965, conspired with officials to illegally obtain over 14 plots of land for herself and close relatives. The press service of the regional police department reported that as a result, T.Dzh. and the officials received a financial benefit of 3,439,000 soms from the sale of the land.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect T.Dzh. has been detained and placed in pre-trial detention. Investigative and operational measures are being taken to identify and apprehend other accomplices involved in the crime.
