In a recent interview with the "Seventh Channel," the head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of Kyrgyzstan, Kamchybek Tashiev, revealed that the previously reported 20 billion som received in the budget from anti-corruption efforts was outdated information. According to Tashiev, the 20 billion som consisted of cash funds.
However, when considering assets transferred to the state as a result of anti-corruption efforts, including movable and immovable property, livestock, and other forms of income such as unpaid taxes, the total sum exceeds 100 billion som, as stated by Kamchybek Tashiev.
Tashiev further mentioned that ongoing court cases related to specific assets will likely increase the total amount recovered to the 100 billion som mark.
Previously, the Ministry of Finance reported that 20.445 billion som had been collected from anti-corruption measures. These funds, in the form of voluntary or compulsory reimbursement for damages to the state, are transferred and accounted for in deposit accounts of law enforcement and supervisory authorities, as well as in the deposit account of the authorized state body, the Ministry of Finance.
