In the Kadamjai district of the Batken region, a municipal enterprise director has been detained on suspicion of abusing his official position, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.
The director is accused of withdrawing a million soms from the enterprise's account for personal gain. These funds were originally allocated to the municipal enterprise as subsidies.
According to the statement, the official used a portion of the money to purchase a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and pocketed the remaining amount.
A criminal case has been launched, and the suspect, identified as A.A. born in 1982, has been apprehended. Pre-trial detention has been ordered by the court as a precautionary measure.
The investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
