Prosecutors in Bishkek uncover illegal transfer of land into private ownership

The Prosecutor's Office of Bishkek conducted an inspection of compliance with land and urban planning legislation, as reported by the General Prosecutor's Office press service.

According to the agency, officials from the Bishkekglavarchitecture violated the temporary provisions on determining and formalizing the boundaries of a land plot for a multi-apartment residential building, knowingly providing false information in official documents. They illegally prepared a project for the land plot adjacent to the multi-apartment residential building.

As a result, a land plot of 1247.86 square meters worth 49 million 980 thousand 536 soms illegally transitioned into private ownership, causing significant damage to the municipality.

Following the inspection, the capital's prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case under articles 337 "Abuse of power" and 346 "Forgery" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
