The Prosecutor's Office of Osh Region has conducted an investigation into the compliance with legislation regarding the provision of social assistance to low-income families. According to the General Prosecutor's Office, a commission responsible for providing social assistance based on social contracts at the Kara-Suu District State Administration, along with employees of the Labor, Social Protection, and Migration Department, unlawfully distributed aid to 15 citizens who did not actually qualify, totaling 1,500,000 soms.
Furthermore, officials from the same district's labor, social protection, and migration department illegally granted monthly benefits totaling 462,500 soms to 23 individuals who did not meet the criteria.
The total damage caused to the state amounts to 1,962,500 soms. As a result, the Prosecutor's Office of Osh Region has initiated a criminal case under articles 337 "Abuse of Power" and 346 "Official Forgery" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
