Another state inspector from the Accounts Chamber has been detained for extortion from school and kindergarten directors in Bishkek. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported the incident.

According to the information provided, the inspector J.K.N. demanded $5.4 thousand to halt further audits at the management of 27 schools and 1 children's art center. The directors were forced to pay amounts ranging from 18 to 27 thousand soms, depending on the number of students.

The inspector from the Accounts Chamber has been detained as part of pre-trial proceedings on suspicion of the crime and placed in a pre-trial detention center. The investigation is ongoing.

It is worth noting that earlier, the GKNB reported the detention of another inspector from the Accounts Chamber, M.F.K., for a similar offense.
