A member of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has been detained for extorting money from entrepreneurs, announced the head of the committee, Kamchybek Tashiev, today.
"Last night, we detained our employee, Captain Durusaliyev, who has been extorting money from entrepreneurs for a long time. He received funds monthly. He used to work in Jalal-Abad, and we transferred him to the central office. When he worked there, he started deceiving entrepreneurs by claiming that he had been promoted and now they needed to pay him more so he could share it with the leadership," he explained.
Kamchybek Tashiev added that today the detainee will be remanded in custody and held accountable before the law. The head of the GKNB admitted that there are corrupt officials among their staff, but they are few.
