A recent investigation by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has revealed the unlawful sale of a land plot belonging to an educational institution in the Leilek district. The plot, which was originally part of School-Gymnasium No. 4, was sold to a local resident for 40,000 soms, despite its actual value being assessed at over 1.2 million soms at the time of sale.

The individuals involved in the illicit transaction, including officials from the Razakov municipality and the "Cadastre" branch, have been detained and placed in pre-trial detention. Among those arrested are the deputy mayor of Razakov, Y.M., a specialist from the "Cadastre" branch in Leilek district, B.A., and a former head of the municipal property department in the city, K.Z.

The GKNB's press center has confirmed these developments and stated that further investigative actions are currently underway to shed light on the full extent of the illegal sale. The case highlights the importance of combating corruption and upholding the rule of law in Kyrgyzstan.
