An organized corruption scheme involving judges and court staff was uncovered, aiming to extort money from defendants.
Following investigations, Judge B.T.K. was caught red-handed receiving a $1.5 thousand bribe for a favorable decision on early release.
Each participant in the criminal circle received a certain share of the extorted money based on their involvement.
Judge B.T.K. and the intermediary were remanded in custody, while further assessments are being conducted on other judges involved in the criminal activities.
The investigation is ongoing to uncover similar illegal actions within the Moscow District Court of the Chui region.
