Mirlanbek Ismailov, the nephew of the arrested former deputy head of the Kyrgyzstan Customs Service, Raimbek Matraimov, has denied the transfer of $3 million to Sadyr Japarov during the October 2020 events. Ismailov stated on his Facebook page that the signature on the note published by Asat Osmomov does not belong to his uncle.
Dair Orunbekov, the head of the presidential administration's information policy department, also refuted the claim of Matraimov transferring money to Japarov. These denials came after Asat Osmomov posted a photo of a note allegedly written by Raimbek Matraimov indicating the transfer of money to Sadyr Japarov.
