In Naryn, a prosecutor and a police investigator have been detained for extortion and bribery, as reported by the GKNB press center.
According to the information, it was found that the prosecutor of the Naryn region, M.S., and the police investigator, E.N., conspired to extort a bribe from an applicant in exchange for a favorable decision on his criminal case.
A criminal case has been initiated, and the investigator was caught red-handed after receiving a bribe of 100,000 soms, as stated in the press release.
The suspects have been placed in pre-trial detention by the GKNB. Within the legal deadlines, charges will be brought against them, and a decision will be made on the imposition of preventive measures.
