The press service of the Interior Ministry of the Chui region announced the detention of suspects in a particularly large theft of pipes in the Alamedin district. A private company's management reported to the police that 660 meters of pipes were stolen by unknown individuals at the end of February. The pipes were buried in a field between the villages of Mykan and Sadovy.
The damage is estimated at 2,970,000 soms, leading to the initiation of a criminal case under Article 205 "Theft" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Two suspects have been apprehended and placed in a temporary detention facility. Some of the stolen pipes were recovered from them and have been identified as material evidence.
