A large shipment of expensive medications, with a preliminary value of over 20 million soms, has been seized at the Ak-Tilek border checkpoint in Kyrgyzstan. The vehicle, a Volvo, was detained due to falsified transportation documents, disguising the drugs as household items.
The medications lacked the necessary import documentation and were not accounted for in tax authorities. The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported the interception, and investigations are underway to determine the extent of damage to the national budget and the involvement of officials in the incident.
