A corruption scheme involving the misappropriation of funds through unjustified write-offs of material assets in a municipal enterprise providing communal services in the city of Talas has been exposed by the press center of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to the GKNB, a criminal case has been initiated against the responsible managers and employees of the enterprise for abuse of official position. An initial audit has revealed a preliminary damage to the state interests amounting to over 6 million soms.
Efforts are underway to determine all the details of the case and identify other individuals involved in this corruption scheme.
