A private customs terminal in the Karasuu district, owned by LLC "Megacompany", has been transferred to the state. This decision was announced by the Chairman of the State Customs Service, Samat Isabekov, during a meeting of the parliamentary committee on budget, economic, and fiscal policy.
Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva raised concerns from local residents about the alleged illegal operation of the customs terminal for three years and encroachment upon pasture lands by the company.
"The Karasuu customs terminal is now under state ownership. We are in the process of resolving the necessary paperwork, and the issue will be addressed promptly," stated Samat Isabekov.
He underscored that all proceeds from the operation of the checkpoint will now be directed towards the state budget.
