Employees of the state enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur" in collusion with a private company embezzled 8 million soms, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the Ministry, violations by the state enterprise during the tender for the transportation of coal from the Kara-Kechе deposit to the loading-unloading point in Balykchi were identified by the 4th department of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that the tender for transportation was conducted in the spring of 2023. The inspection revealed violations related to the requirements of guaranteeing the competitive bid.
In connection with the abuse of official position, the former general director of the state enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur" Maxatbek Moldokmatov has been detained and placed in pre-trial detention for two months. Similarly, under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of the private company "Seren-Trans" Tilek Jumayev has also been placed in pre-trial detention for two months.
