Illegal Land Transfer Scandal Uncovered in Kyrgyz Village; Investigation Underway

In the village of Aral in the Issyk-Kul region, a case of illegal transfer of municipal land into private ownership has been uncovered. This information was reported by the press center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The former head of the Tyup district branch of the State Enterprise "Cadastre", in collusion with officials of the Aral village district, prepared fictitious documents, based on which a close relative of the head of the Aral village district illegally obtained 0.16 hectares of land belonging to the local library. This plot is estimated at 2.2 million soms," the statement said.

During the investigation, the mentioned land plot was returned to municipal ownership. The actions of the officials of the State Enterprise "Cadastre" and the Aral village district will be legally assessed. The investigation is ongoing.
