Customs Service Captain in Kyrgyzstan detained for bribery. The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported this information.
According to the GKNB, certain employees of the Customs Service organized a systematic corruption scheme at the checkpoint "Kyzyl-Kiya - highway" to extort money from private entrepreneurs.
"On May 9, the senior shift officer of the checkpoint "Kyzyl-Kiya - highway", Captain of the Customs Service J.M.A., was detained. Investigative and operational measures are ongoing to identify specific officials involved in the corruption scheme," the statement said.
