Illegal Land Allocation Scandal Uncovered in Bishkek: Officials Falsified Documents

Authorities in Bishkekglavarkhitektura, the state archive, and the Oktyabrsky district akimat illegally allocated a land plot by falsifying a resolution, as reported by the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, officials falsified archival resolutions from the Oktyabrsky district administration dating back to 2007, adding 62 individuals to the document. As a result, 18 citizens were illegally granted a 1-hectare land plot in the southeastern part of the district. "Furthermore, state deeds for private ownership of the plot were issued," the statement reads.

The state suffered a loss of 211 million soms due to this scheme. Criminal cases have been initiated by the Oktyabrsky district prosecutor's office under articles 337 (abuse of power) and 346 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code. To reclaim the land plots for the state, corresponding lawsuits have been filed by the district prosecutor's office.
