Today, the Central Election Commission will convene to discuss the early termination of the parliamentary powers of MP Aibek Osmonov. The CEC clarified that Osmonov submitted a statement voluntarily resigning his parliamentary mandate.

This comes after a TV channel linked to the head of the National Security Committee aired reports on the connections between MPs and figures involved in corruption scandals. The reports implicated several members of parliament, including Osmonov, in alleged corrupt activities.

The TV channel also highlighted the recent early termination of another MP's mandate, Abdvakhap Boronbayev, who previously headed a customs office. The CEC has also terminated the mandates of MPs Iskender Matraimov and Nurlan Razhabayev. The TV channel released four video reports on YouTube, shedding light on the alleged corruption.

Previously, the National Security Committee declared Matraimov wanted for aiding in restricting a person's freedom of movement. The channel's chief editor confirmed its ownership by the head of the National Security Committee.
