Construction of a 350-bed Multi-Profile Hospital Begins in Karakol

The Issyk-Kul Regional United Hospital has announced the initiation of constructing a multi-profile hospital with 350 beds on its premises, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health press center. This initiative aligns with the priorities of the National Development Program until 2026, emphasizing the improvement of the population's health. Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beyshenaliyev mentioned that the new regional hospital in Karakol will elevate the standard of medical services provided to the residents of the region.

Covering an area of 6,200 square meters, the hospital will consist of five blocks housing various departments including surgical, trauma, consultative-diagnostic, ENT, ophthalmology, therapeutic, oncology, pediatric, and others. Furthermore, the facility will include amenities such as a laboratory, cafeteria, laundry room, morgue, oxygen station, boiler room, and generator room. An estimated 600 million soms have been allocated for the construction, with the project set to be completed by 2025.
