According to their data, it was found that one of the residents of the village slaughtered a cow without a veterinary inspection and distributed the meat to neighbors. "After consuming the meat, several people showed symptoms of siberian plague. Currently, one of the affected individuals is receiving treatment at a hospital in Bishkek," the statement said.

The last case of siberian plague was registered in the capital in 2012, and since then the situation has been favorable. Siberian plague is a disease transmitted from animals to humans. The source of infection is often domestic animals such as cattle, sheep, goats, camels, pigs, and many species of wild animals. An infected animal releases the pathogen into the environment through urine, feces, and saliva.
