The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan has signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Program for the procurement of medical products for monitoring infectious diseases for the years 2024-2025. This agreement aims to ensure universal and widespread access to medical services for the population to combat tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
The funding for this joint project is provided by the government of Turkmenistan. The project focuses on the uninterrupted supply of medical institutions with necessary medications. The qualification of healthcare workers and the smooth transition to full state financing of the fight against infectious diseases are of great importance in this regard.
