Turkmenistan Collaborates with IAEA on Healthcare and Nuclear Medicine Framework Program

Turkmenistan is developing a five-year Framework Program of Cooperation in the fields of healthcare and nuclear medicine, rational use of water resources, and agriculture in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency. This information was reported by the online publication Centralasia.news.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, during a Cabinet meeting, the next meeting of the working group to discuss the Program project is scheduled for June 2024. It was noted that one of the key areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the IAEA is the fight against oncological diseases. In this regard, Turkmenistan is undergoing specialized infrastructure modernization.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdymukhamedov instructed to continue the work in the context of effective cooperation with the IAEA.
