In Kyrgyzstan, a national study on the prevalence of hepatitis B, C, and HIV will start on June 24. This was announced by the Republican Center for Health Promotion and Mass Communication.
According to the center, the study covers all regions of the country and is conducted among citizens of randomly selected households. The main goal is to obtain accurate data on the prevalence of viral hepatitis B, C, and HIV among the population.
The center emphasized that this data is necessary for the development of effective prevention strategies and improvement of public health.
The study is carried out by a special group prepared by the Ministry of Health among children aged 5 to 17 and individuals aged 18 and older in selected households. The examination includes interviews and blood sampling from a vein.
For safety purposes, all interviewers will wear a special badge with the identifying mark "РЦКГВГиВИЧ".
