Ministry of Health has issued a statement on behalf of the head of the department, Alymkadyr Beyshenaliev, to the relatives and loved ones of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

The Minister noted that, at the instruction of President Sadyr Japarov, the issue of kidney replacement in the country has been addressed. Today, kidney transplants have been successfully performed for more than ten patients.

"The expenses for this are covered by the state. Future costs for kidney replacements will also be covered by the state. Currently, about 3,000 people are in need of hemodialysis. Many of them face difficulties in finding donors. Identified donors could allow us to perform kidney replacement surgeries more quickly and take patients out of the hemodialysis state."

In addition, the head of state instructed to carry out liver and bone marrow replacement surgeries in the republic. The first liver and bone marrow transplants are planned to take place at the end of May. Currently, 15 people are preparing for liver transplants and 4 for bone marrow transplants. The expenses for these surgeries will be covered from the president's sponsorship fund. In particular, the patient finds the donor themselves, and the expenses for the surgery will be covered by the head of state. Until now, liver transplants have been carried out abroad," said Alymkadyr Beyshenaliev.

He added that liver transplantation in India costs $55,000, while in Turkey it ranges from $75,000 to $80,000. Bone marrow replacement abroad costs between $130,000 and $160,000.

"I appeal to the relatives of patients in need of hemodialysis: if you have the opportunity, become kidney donors for your relatives," emphasized Alymkadyr Beyshenaliev.
