New Airport "Talas" Ready to Welcome One Hundred Passengers per Hour

in National Security / Kyrgyzstan - by

The international airport "Manas" press service has announced that the "Talas" airport is now ready to operate and can receive up to one hundred passengers per hour. Construction of the airport began on June 15, 2023, and after nine months, it is fully equipped to accommodate flights and passengers.

The new terminal at the regional airport "Talas" will feature separate arrival and departure halls, fully equipped to cater to passengers with limited mobility, offering all necessary amenities, including a mother and child room. The airport has received certifications from the Civil Aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic and has successfully passed all required inspections.

However, due to a shortage of aircraft from the airline "Tez Jet," which currently operates domestic flights in the country, there is currently no immediate possibility to open routes to the new destination. The "Manas" International Airport is considering the option of servicing internal flights through its subsidiary, Asman Airlines, which has recently acquired new aircraft.

Situated at an altitude of 1,266 meters above sea level, the "Talas" airport is designated for domestic flights. Its runway can accommodate various aircraft types, including An-2, An-26, An-28, Avro RJ-85, BAe-146, and Yak-40.
