This morning, a 5-magnitude earthquake struck the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, as reported by the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. The epicenter was located in Tajikistan, 16 kilometers southeast of the Kyrgyz villages of Kara-Teit, 15 kilometers south of Karamyk, and 124 kilometers southeast of Batken. The intensity of the earthquake in the Kyrgyz Republic was recorded at 4 in the villages of Kara-Teit and Karamyk, and 3 in Daroot-Korgon, Zhar-Bashy, Kulchu, and Jash-Tilek.
